MEET AISLING

Hello, I’m Aisling, an acupuncturist based in Dublin. I’ve been working in healthcare since 2014, first as a radiation therapist, and now in clinical research alongside my acupuncture practice.

WHY I CHOSE ACUPUNCTURE

My background and experience have given me an understanding of both the strengths and challenges of conventional medicine. This awareness inspired me to explore acupuncture — a natural, holistic therapy that supports the body’s ability to restore balance gently and safely.

I trained for three years at Lansdowne College under the tutelage of Dr Vincent Carroll and qualified in 2023.

While my initial focus was on acupuncture’s role in illness and recovery, I quickly came to appreciate its broader potential to support health and harmony throughout our lives.

MY APPROACH

Acupuncture is one part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a holistic system developed over centuries and still evolving today. My treatments are grounded in its philosophy, diagnostic methods, and therapeutic principles, with a focus on enhancing each person’s healing, sense of wellbeing, and overall quality of life.

I work to understand the underlying patterns that may be contributing to how someone feels, aiming to address not just symptoms, but the imbalances behind them.

QUALIFICATION & PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION

I hold a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and I’m registered with the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (AFPA), a professional register of acupuncturists and practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Ireland. I’m committed to ongoing learning and continue to build on my knowledge and skills through additional training, including oncology acupuncture and facial acupuncture. I’m currently studying for an advanced level diploma in fertility acupuncture.
