This information is collected to provide safe and effective acupuncture treatments, in accordance with GDPR Article 9(2)(h) - the provision of healthcare.

HOW IS YOUR DATA STORED?

Your data is stored securely and only accessed when necessary for treatment or communication.

  • Clinical records (including medical history, treatment notes, and appointment details) are stored securely in Cliniko, a GDPR-compliant practice management system. Access is password-protected and limited to your acupuncturist.

  • Email addresses collected via the website (for email sign-ups or contact forms) are stored securely within Squarespace’s built-in mailing system.

  • Any physical records are kept in a locked location and securely destroyed after the retention period.

Your data is never sold or shared without your explicit consent, unless required by law.

HOW LONG IS YOUR DATA KEPT?

  • Health records are retained for 7 years after your last appointment, in line with professional and legal standards.

  • Non-medical contact details (e.g., email sign-ups) are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data.

  • Request correction or deletion.

  • Withdraw your consent (where applicable).
